1. What Time Is It?
Time means เวลา. We use time to talk about when things happen.
Examples
- What time is it? = กี่โมงแล้ว
- It’s seven o’clock. = เจ็ดโมงตรง
- It’s half past eight. = แปดโมงครึ่ง
- It’s quarter past nine. = เก้าโมงสิบห้า
- It’s quarter to ten. = อีกสิบห้านาทีสิบโมง
2. Asking for the Time
Question:
What time is it?
Answers:
- It’s one o’clock.
- It’s two fifteen.
- It’s three thirty.
- It’s four forty-five.
🕐 Example:
A: What time is it?
B: It’s seven o’clock.
3. O’Clock
We use o’clock when the minute hand is at 12.

4. Minutes: Past and To
⏩ PAST = ผ่านมา
ใช้เมื่อเวลา 1–30 นาที
- 7:05 → It’s five past seven.
- 7:10 → It’s ten past seven.
- 7:15 → It’s quarter past seven.
- 7:30 → It’s half past seven.
⏪ TO = อีก…นาทีจะถึง
ใช้เมื่อเวลา 31–59 นาที
- 7:45 → It’s quarter to eight.
- 7:50 → It’s ten to eight.
- 7:55 → It’s five to eight.
Remember:
past = ผ่านไปแล้ว
to = อีก…นาทีจะถึงเวลาใหม่
5. A.M. and P.M. 🌞🌙
A.M.
ใช้ตั้งแต่ 00:00–11:59 น.
- 7:00 a.m. = เจ็ดโมงเช้า
- 9:30 a.m. = เก้าโมงครึ่ง
P.M.
ใช้ตั้งแต่ 12:00–23:59 น.
- 1:00 p.m. = บ่ายโมง
- 6:30 p.m. = หกโมงครึ่งเย็น
- 8:00 p.m. = สองทุ่ม
6. Daily Activities and Time
We can use time to talk about our daily routine.
- I get up at 6:00 a.m. 🛏️
- I have breakfast at 7:00 a.m. 🍳
- I go to school at 8:00 a.m. 🏫
- I have lunch at 12:00 p.m. 🍚
- I do my homework at 5:00 p.m. 📚
- I go to bed at 9:00 p.m. 😴
